Our theme is Time is Running Out…On Time Mission for an End Time Church. God has given the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Western New York (WNY) a Mission to complete. Each day that passes brings us closer to the end. Since time is short, how should the urgency of living in the final days of history impact our evangelistic witness? Time is running out to make wrongs right or forgive a family member. Time is running out to impact our young people for Christ. Time is running out to reach our lost neighbors.
Given our theme, Elder Dick Baron, former Associate Youth Director of the General Conference will be our main speaker. Pastor Jim Howard, Associate Director of Sabbath School and Personal Ministries of the General Conference will be our morning and afternoon seminar speaker. Together they help us achieve our vision for this year's convocation.
We have included a youth based outreach endeavor called
We look forward to these special seasons of spiritual enrichment and fellowship with our sister churches so that both youth and adults may be refreshed and empowered for mission in the WNY area. We also appreciate the presence of our conference administrators joining us as we celebrate what God has done in areas of personal and public evangelism as we look forward to the future.
On your mark, get set, go! You're off for the adventure of a lifetime. This is going to be the best afternoon you've spent in a long time. You'll learn, have fun, and be good citizens of Rochester, but more importantly of God's Kingdom.
Question: Is it necessary to physically run to participate in the race?
Answer: No, but the enthusiasm you generate will make you feel like each step is a supersized leap.
Question: Who will I meet? Answer: Famous TV personalities won't be there; however, you will encounter some other persons who did some pretty spectacular things --- can't say more, it's a secret.
Question: Why should I get involved?
Answer: The Amazing Race provides something to think about and a reason to be thankful. It brings a whole new level of energy and inspiration to life! At least that's what we hope, but there are so many more nuances of the race and things for you to discover. Let's meet there!
